Deposit: A 50% deposit is required to reserve the dates you request and must be received within 10 days of phone confirmation. Balance due upon arrival.
Cancellations: Cancellations made 61-90 days prior to arrival will forfeit 25% of deposit. 31-60 days prior to arrival will be 50% of deposit. 30 days or less will forfeit 100% of deposit.
Lodging Dates: Days offered will be concurrent with guests departing dates to best utilize and distribute the cost of the float plane. Otherwise, the cost per person will be increased to reflect the cost of two planes as opposed to one. This will necessitate an overnight stay in Ketchikan prior to your arrival date at Bear Valley Lodge. Guests desiring to arrive earlier or later than the Bear Valley Lodge chartered plane will do so at their expense.
Float Planes: Only one flight for the combined arriving and departing groups. The plane will depart Ketchikan for Bear Valley Lodge in the early morning. Returning to Ketchikan from the Lodge will also be in the early morning. FAA regulations restrict float plane flights before 6 a.m. Booking an early afternoon flight on Alaska Airlines for your return trip home will allow for occasional weather conditions.
Extra Fishing: Any days fished that are not scheduled in the 6 or 7 day package price will be charged $200 per person per day.
Meals: Breakfast will be served approximately one hour before the boat leaves the dock. The evening meal will be served approximately one hour after the boat arrives at the dock. A full days fishing is given. Anyone wishing to add more fishing hours to the schedule will have an additional charge of $150 per group per hour to cover the extra costs incurred.
Shipping Fish: Shipping costs of fish beyond the chartered planes capacity will be the fisherman's expense. Due to weight restriction of float planes we strongly suggest you pack lightly. A charge of $8 per box and $1 per pound will be charged by Bear Valley Lodge to process excess poundage. Also Note: Alaska Airlines charges freight in excess of 2 boxes of fish as checked baggage (not to exceed 70 pounds each).
Bear Valley Lodge reserves the right to add to any group of less than 5 persons.
